A recent study noted that Alabama is 24th nationally in population but had the 10th-most EEOC charges filed. This is a telling statistic that belies the traditional notion that our state is making progress with workplace discrimination. There continues to be substantial evidence that gender, race, age, disability and religious discrimination are growing problems throughout the Alabama workforce and many times must be addressed through the EEOC process or by individuals filing Federal Lawsuits against their employers.

Nearly every day my firm receives a call from an employee who has been wrongfully terminated or retaliated against for opposing illegal discrimination in the workplace. If you need help protecting yourself from an employer who is violating Federal Law, please contact me at (205) 588-0699 or at wbeckum@beckumlaw.com for a free case evaluation.
